DESOTO DEMAND RESPONSE:

• Demand Response service is a shared ride curb-to-curb transit service provided to the public.  This service can be used to go anywhere within our service area and to medical appointments that fall outside of the service area. 
• Call STAR Transit at least 1 business day but not more than 2 weeks in advance of the desired trip. Scheduling Agents are available during normal business hours (M – F, 8 am – 4 pm) at (877) 631-5278. Se Habla Español.
• All trips are based on vehicle availability.
• Fares range between $1 - $12 depending on the service and distance of the trip.  We do offer discounted fares to those that are 60+, veterans and/or disabled riders.  To qualify, call the Mobility Management Office.

STARNOW – SAME DAY SERVICE:

• STAR Transit offers same day trips via the STARNow service.  Trips may be booked using the STARNow app or by calling 877-631-5278.
• Download the STARNow mobile app from the Apple App store and Google Play store.
• The app allows riders to book and pay for same day trips within DeSoto travel zone.  
• Pick up and drop off points must be inside the DeSoto travel zone. 
• Wait time is based on vehicle availability.
• Service is available Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.
• The fare is $2 and $1 for those within the discounted categories.
