May 7, 2022 - General Election Information and Public Documents

The City of DeSoto will hold a General Election on May 7, 2022 for Mayor Place 1, Councilmember Place 3 and Councilmember Place 5.

The filing period for DeSoto residents for a place on the ballot is: Wednesday, January 19, 2022 through Friday, February 18, 2022.

Applications for Mayor Place 1, Councilmember Place 3 and Councilmember Place 5 will not be accepted after 5:00pm on Friday, February 18, 2022.

The City Secretary has certified the applications and petitions submitted by candidates running for Mayor - Place 1 and City Councilmember Places 3 and 5.  Listed below are the names of the certified candidates, in the order they will appear on the ballot.

Early voting by person appearance will begin on Monday, April 25, 2022 through Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Early voting will take place at Disciple Central Community Church (DC3), located at 901 North Polk Street, DeSoto, Texas.

Election Day Voting is May 7, 2022 and is scheduled at the following locations:
