4th Quarter Update
September 2021

The Facility Naming Policy was adopted by City Council in Q2 by Resolution. In May 2021, the City Manager's Office received two renaming applications, one to rename Meadow Creek Park to Curtistene S. McCowan Park and the other to rename the Windmill Hill Nature Preserve to the Paul Dryer Nature Preserve. Those applications were properly reviewed and considered consistent with the new Facility Naming Policy and the City Council approved the changes. The Facility Naming Policy includes provisions for facilitating corporate sponsorship opportunities as they become available. Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department will identify sponsorship opportunities for various special events and sporting activities managed by the team. This goal has been completed for FY 2021.
