Mayors and City Council members across America know their communities’ success depends on the health and well-being of children, youth, and families. Working with colleagues in local government, leaders can strengthen municipal policies, support effective programs, and bring diverse partners to the table in order to make things happen. 
The goal is to create a strategic plan including municipal leaders, residential youth, educators and community stakeholders. The commencement of the plan will yield a blueprint that will be used to guide youth programming efforts in DeSoto.

Eight months ago, the City of DeSoto embarked on developing a Youth Master Plan. This plan is designed to plan programs, identify resources, and promote youth engagement with program implementation.
