The primary function of the DeSoto Arts Commission is to manage the city’s Arts Grants Program. 
 
The DeSoto Arts Commission’s mission is to provide the citizens of DeSoto with opportunities for cultural enrichment through the arts. The vision of the DeSoto Arts Commission (DAC) is for DeSoto to become the arts and cultural entertainment Mecca of the Best Southwest Region. This mission and vision are accomplished through the DAC’s efforts to provide a diversity of arts and entertainment opportunities that would appeal to a wide range of age groups and entertainment preferences.
