September 14th: COVID-19 Update from Dallas County and the State of Texas

County State United Yellow Reflect

After separating-out 100 older, backlogged COVID-19 cases from the State’s electronic laboratory reporting (system), Dallas County reported that there were 340 current confirmed COVID-19 cases in the County on September 14th.  The total number of cases reported today including the older cases was 440. Here are the details in the Dallas County COVID-19 News Release for September 14th: https://www.ci.desoto.tx.us/DocumentCenter/View/18004/9132020-Press-Release---Dallas-County-Reports-Additional-Positive-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-COVID-19-Cases

We are making progress in reducing the community spread of COVID-19, but that will only remain the case as long as residents continue to follow the medically proven protocols that brought us to this point. Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth when in public and stay away from those not wearing a mask since they can have COVID-19 and not know it. Maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet and keep your hands clean and sanitized. We all need to follow established medical science and continue to work together to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
