After separating-out 100 older, backlogged COVID-19 cases from the State’s electronic laboratory reporting (system), Dallas County reported that there were 340 current confirmed COVID-19 cases in the County on September 14th. The total number of cases reported today including the older cases was 440. We are making progress in reducing the community spread of COVID-19, but that will only remain the case as long as residents continue to follow the medically proven protocols that brought us to this point. Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth when in public and stay away from those not wearing a mask since they can have COVID-19 and not know it. Maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet and keep your hands clean and sanitized. We all need to follow established medical science and continue to work together to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
