How Do I
Upon conviction of a Class "C" Misdemeanor in a Court of Record, the Defendant may file an Appeal Bond, only if a record was requested for the trial.
The Appeal Bond must be filed due to an error in the trial process.
The case is then forwarded to Dallas County Criminal Court, where the appeal is reviewed.
The case is returned to the Municipal Court, and based upon the review, the judgment is either upheld or a new trial is ordered.
New trials are held in the Municipal Court.
