Tracy L. Cormier is the Interim Director of Budget with the City of DeSoto. Cormier directs the activities of the Budget & Accounting Divisions which consist of the of the Annual Budget Planning Process, Treasury and Audit functions, Receivables/Revenue, Grant Reporting, Fixed Assets, Internal Controls and Administrative Services. Cormier began his career with the City of Desoto in 2011 as Manager of Accounting and was appointed Interim Director of Budget in September 2017. Cormier is a Michigan native and prior to coming to the City of Desoto, Cormier worked for Buena Vista Charter Township, Michigan for over 16 years advancing thru the ranks from Treasurer Account Clerk to Director of Fiscal Service. Cormier earned his Bachelors of Business Administration-General Business from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and is a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) in the State of Texas as of April 2015.
