Code of Conduct
The purpose of this policy is to establish behavior standards in order to provide a comfortable, respectful, and safe DeSoto Public Library.

Collection Development
DeSoto Public Library (DPL) strives to provide a collection that is current, balanced, and representative of all fields of knowledge to the extent of its financial resources.

Exam Proctoring
The purpose of this policy is to establish that exam proctoring is done free of charge to the student as well as the educational institution. DeSoto Public Library staff proctors paper and/or online exams.

Hours of Operation
The purpose of this policy is to establish a policy with regard to the hours the library will be operating.

Interlibrary Loan
The purpose of this policy is to establish the criteria for providing interlibrary loan service to assist DeSoto Library Card Holders that are citizens of DeSoto in borrowing library books not found in our collection.

Loan Periods
The purpose of this policy is to establish the policy for the DeSoto Public Library staff with regard to loan lengths.

Meeting Room Usage
The purpose of this policy is to establish criteria related to the use of library meeting room(s) at the DeSoto Public Library (DPL).

Public Computers
The purpose of this policy is to establish that the DeSoto Public Library provides general computer usage is availability through the computer time management system reservation desk and provides internet access for its customers.

Sponsorships & Donations
The purpose of this policy is to establish a system to receive and acknowledge sponsorships and/or donations given to the DeSoto Public Library.

Study Rooms
The purpose of this policy is to establish criteria related to the use of study rooms at the DeSoto Public Library.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a policy/guideline related to unattended children at the DeSoto Public Library.
