Lora Stallings

Lora Stallings has worked for the City of DeSoto since 1990, having served at the DeSoto Police Department for nine years in the Records, Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations, and Jail Divisions; she also served as Tactical Medic. In 1999 Lora transferred to the City Manager’s Office, where she now serves as Assistant City Manager. Her current responsibilities include service as Risk Manager, Staff Liaison to the DeSoto, Texas Historical Foundation Board, Executive Budget Committee member, and Project Administrator. Lora’s department assignments are Human Resources, the Library and Parks & Recreation. Lora holds a Master’s Degree in Human Relations and Business, a Bachelor’s Degree in HR and Business, and an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences (Pre-Med). She is a graduate of Leadership Southwest, a Certified Professional Manager, and holds BSW Certifications in Management, Supervision, Leadership, and Customer Service.
